Pediatric filters
The use of pediatric filters renders a considerable reduction of the radiation load when taking X-ray images of children. We manufacture the filters in accordance with the requirements of the guidelines of the Federal General Medical Council with respect to the quality assurance in the field of X-ray diagnostics.
Compensating Filter
Universal type
Pre-emphasis filter for better X-raysThoracic spine, lumbar spine, shoulders, pelvis etc. demand sophisticated X-ray technology on account of the high subject contrast circumference involved. br>
Equipped with 2 elements, the universal pre-emphasis filter produces pictures which disclose information hither to obscured by the maximum blackenof X-ray film.
1) Some sample applications Thoracic spine A-P
Starting from the head, adjust 1 filter element over 2/3 of the thoracic spine
Dorsal spine lat.
Starting from the head, adjust filter element over 2/3 of the dorsal spine
Shoulder
Allow 1 filter element to impinge diagonally sideways over 1/3 of the photografic field
Pelvis
Slide 1 filter element from each side up to 1/3 into the photografic field
Feet and hands A-P
Slide 1 filter element as far as desired into the photografic field
2) Positioning and fixing the filter elements to the collimator
Slide mounting plate into the accessories rail of the X-ray apparatus (please quote dimensions when ordering).
The filter elements can be slide into a position singly or in pairs with the aid of their retaining magnets. The filter effect may be checked at any time in the photographic field of the collimator.
The compensating filter
a versatile filter for your X-rays
Compensation filters are made from a special aluminium alloy and allow for absorption compensation when screening different parts of the body. difficulty caused by soft ray parts is effectively eliminated. Thus X-ray quality is enhanced and exposure to radiation on the part of the patient is reduced. Light collimator performance is near optimum owing to the transparent impact-resistant polycarbon base plate.
